Discover your inner artist through the creations of a wonderful piece of art using mixed media, watercolors, pencils,
crayons, charcoal and India ink! All supplies included except an all-purpose art pad purchased by the participant.

Pizza, Punch and Fun with Art

We provide the art supplies and pizza; you bring your favorite beverage to share. Children from all artistic
backgrounds are invited and will learn to make creations of their own guided by local artist Patricia Moore.

Toast And Tint
toast and tint

Toast and Tint is a carefree, easy and FUN art party! Not artistic? Don't worry! Local artist Patricia Moore will guide
you step by step to recreate the featured project of the night. Grab your friends, family or coworkers and make
it an evening of art and camaraderie. This class is open to adults of all skill level, no experience necessary, and at
the end of the night, you'll be able to leave with a unique piece of art created by your own hand. Patricia Moore instructs
the class. We provide all the materials. This class is BYOB, so grab a bottle of wine and a snack on your way over!

February 9 - Use acrylic paint to create a wonderful warm beach and ocean scene in the middle of winter and
have your own mini vacation for the night.

March 9 - Use acrylic paint and add shapes to a paper mache mask. We will utilize many types of objects such
as sequins, feathers beads and more.   

Birding By Sight and Sound

Learn simple ways to identify and observe birds and their behavior using binoculars, field guides and birdcall tapes.
This interactive class led by local naturalist April Richards will involve worksheets, games and more. Each participant
will take home Peterson's Guide to Birds so they can continue what they learned wherever they go!

Soils Hike

Is all soil created equal? Do we find different mineral layers in different places? Come see, smell and feel for the answers to these questions. Learn how soil fuels and supports every form of life in the wetlands through a variety of hands on activities. Each participant will also take home posters and their very own plant that they can take care of and watch it grow. This class is led by local naturalist April Richards. Registration deadline: April 23.

Blues Kids Harmonica Class

Learn basic harmonica techniques such as playing within the 12 bar blues progression and more. No musical experience is required. Bring a C diatonic harmonica and a desire to learn to play the blues! Clement Bashir instructs the class.

Beginning Blues Harmonica

Learn basic harmonica techniques. Learn to play clear single notes, tongue blocking, and play within the 12 bar blues progression. We will also cover bending notes, octaves and more. No musical experience is required. Bring a C diatonic harmonica, a desire to play the blues and your ears. Clement Bashir instructs the class. Private lessons available upon request.

CPR CLASSES
The Park Forest Fire Department is offering CPR Classes. All classes are taught on Saturdays beginning at 9 am in the Training Room at the Fire Station located at 156 Indianwood Blvd. by one of our certified CPR instructors and last approximately 3 hours. Cost is $40 for BLS (formerly Health Care Provider) and $30 for Basic.  Payment can be made in advance (checks payable to Park Forest Fire Department) or on the day of class. Card will not be issued until payment is received.  If you are registered for class and fail to attend without canceling in advance you will still be billed for the class.
